General Advice - Camp Invites:

A camp invitation can be a great way for a student-athlete and coach to accomplish several key recruiting objectives.  For the student-athlete, it allows them to visit and get a “feel” for the campus as well as meet and interact with the coaching staff.  For the coach, it allows them to meet and further evaluate a recruit “live” and in person to see how they respond to different coaching and training scenarios.  However, just because a recruit is invited to a camp, it does not necessarily mean they are being “actively” recruited by that specific school or program.  Camps are huge revenue generating events for a college sport program.  It is very important to contact the coaches prior to the camp to determine their level of interest in your son or daughter, before investing money to fly across the country and attend a specific camp.
