Scholarships, Financial Aid Links & Tips
We realize college is expensive and the need the need for today's families to minimize the cost of the college.
The bulk of aid is financial aid and merit/academic based scholarships.
Here is some information to help.
1. Scholarships
Scholarship options will pick up momentum in the second half of senior year. Each school has a "scholarship list" posted somewhere in the Counseling Center. This document will include local, state and national scholarships that may be applied to if he meets the specific requirements. Trust me this is a hidden gem. The scholarship list at the high school where is very lengthy and worth the effort of continually checking. The majority of scholarships are posted from January to June during the school year in hopes of attracting as many applicants (seniors) as possible. So plan to take advantage of this. Last, you can also checkout these (free) links for scholarship information...
