College Coach Visit Preparation

Please review below and decide what order you feel makes the most sense. The conversation might dictate certain questions to be asked at certain time or the coach will cover them. Feel free to let the coach lead the conversation for most of the part, but you should have a few specific questions ready for the conversation as well.
You are looking to learn more about the coach and their program.
Here is a great video to watch regarding questions to ask and be prepared for:
First, make sure to research the school, the team and the coach prior to the call/visit online.
Some general things to know/review about each school:
School:
Academic rank (average test scores, average gpa), majors, location, student population, cost/tuition, housing, life on campus/off campus, internship programs
Athletics:
Coach bios (how long have the coaches been at the school), team record (past two seasons), conference, player roster (look for # of players at your position and their grad year)

- What type of players do you like to recruit and where do you see me fitting into your program and recruiting class?
- How would you describe the area, community and culture of your school?
- Please explain your recruiting process to me and your timeline.
What are the specific academic requirements I need to know about:
