Baseball Combine Shoot

General SOP’s

Battery Charged, Have Tripod shoes, clipboards, pens,
Shooter announces name of player or as asks player for full name before each station
Hand Slate between Groups
Hand Slate between hitting rounds

Introduction Video (Medium Shot)

First Name

1st Position/ 2nd Position Class of 20??

High School, City, State Club Team

Running (60 yard dash)

Camera Location - FOOTBALL FIELD (Set up at opponents 40 yard line)

(Have player start at the one of the goal lines and run past the 50 yard line to the opposite 40 yard line)

Focus on player, player runs when ready, track player all the way to and past the finish line (10 yards or so)

Run it twice, Rest after first (No need to time, we’ll do that in post)

Fielding (Outfield)

Location(1)

3 - 5 feet behind outfield player in center field

Camera direction: Follow ball being thrown to 3rd Base and zoom in

Round 1: Throws to third (make sure there is a good 3B to catch balls)

5 hits straight at player - mix up flyballs and grounders( guarantee at least 2 good throws)

*Take a 60 second break

Camera direction: Follow ball being thrown to Home

Round 2: Throws to Home Base (make sure there is a good catcher to catch balls)

5 hits straight at player - mix up flyballs and grounders ( guarantee at least 2 good throws)

*Take a 60 second break

Location (2A)

Be behind left center of 3rd Base facing the outfield player in right field

Camera direction: Zoom in where you have the outfield player in middle of shot and then zoom out when makes the throw to 3rd - Follow ball

Throws to third

5 hits straight at player - mix up flyballs and grounders ( guarantee at least 2 good throws)

*Take a 60 second break

Be behind left center of home plate facing the outfield player in right field

Camera Direction: Zoom in where you have the outfield player in middle of shot and then zoom out when makes the throw to Home - Follow ball

Throws to Home

5 hits straight at player - mix up flyballs and grounders (guarantee at least 2 good

throws)

*Take a 60 second break

Fielding (Infield – SS/2B/3B) - Throws to first (make sure there is a good 1st Basemen to catch balls)

Camera directions: Full body shot and follow the ball being thrown to 1st base. (Please refer to example video of exact shot)

Location 2

Camera directions: Have the infield player in the middle of the shot and let the ball be thrown off screen to 1st (Do Not follow ball to 1st)

1st round (camera location 1)

5 ground balls hit straight to player (guarantee at least 2 very well played ground balls)

* Take a break for 60 seconds.

2nd round (camera location 1)

3 balls hit to left side of player (guarantee at least 2 very well played ground balls)

3 balls hit to right side of player (guarantee at least 2 very well played ground balls)

3 balls hit to the back hand of player (guarantee at least 1 very well played

ground

balls)

1 slow roller (make sure you get a well played ball)

* Take a break for 60 seconds.
